CEO (Trading Firm) | Chicago, IL (hybrid schedule)

A boutique online trading firm is seeking a new CEO to join its team. The firm is led by a two-person executive team consisting of the CEO and the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Reporting directly to the CEO are the marketing manager and client service manager. In addition to overseeing these functions, the CEO works closely with the firm's trading platform account management team and handles many responsibilities typically associated with a Chief Operations Officer. As the current CEO plans to step down at the end of 2025, the firm is looking for a successor to take on this role. To ensure a smooth transition, the outgoing CEO will provide training and support over a period of two to three months.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the account management team of a major brokerage platform
Oversee operational responsibilities typically handled by a Chief Operating Officer
Ability to step into the role before the end of 2025, as the current CEO plans to transition out by year-end
Willingness to participate in a 2-3 month training and handover period with the outgoing CEO

Requirements:

Proven management experience, including oversight of a team of at least five people

Familiarity with brokerage firm operations and FINRA marketing regulations
Active Series 24 and Series 3 licenses, with a clean U4 record
Strong sales and marketing skills, with a focus on converting opened accounts into funded accounts through digital marketing and telemarketing strategies

The target base salary for this role is $125,000 annually, with additional bonus potential based on firm profitability. Actual compensation may vary depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
