Medical Billing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Billing and Coding Specialist to join our growing team at Atlantic Advanced Spine and Neurology Institute (AASNI). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing insurance claims and patient accounts. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims via electronic and paper submission Review and verify patient billing data for completeness and accuracy Ensure insurance information is up to date and correctly applied Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and resolve billing discrepancies Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to clarify information Generate reports related to billing activities, outstanding claims, and reimbursement trends Stay current with insurance guidelines, medical coding regulations, and industry best practices Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance processes Ability to work on-site, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate with clinical and administrative staff Preferred Qualifications Experience with EHR systems and billing software Knowledge of neurology and/or pain management billing codes is a plus If you’re a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a team environment and is passionate about healthcare billing accuracy, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
