Sr. Accountant, Corporate Accounting

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the Company’s day-to-day accounting and reporting functions including the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process to support the preparation of monthly management reports and the company’s required 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings. Prepare and/or review monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts. Assist with preparation of management reporting package. Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. Coordinate and collaborate with peers within the company as well as Accounting, to ensure processes are created and performed efficiently and accurately. Interface with external auditors with respect to the company’s financial statements. Assist with certain accounting and internal control functions as needed. Other accounting and special projects as requested.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES

5+ years of accounting experience. Big 4 accounting experience is a plus. Strong US GAAP knowledge. Experience with SAP S4/RISE is a plus. Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to effectively interact with senior management. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA in good standing preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax machines, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, stand on a stool, or climb as necessary to perform these functions. While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities. Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
