Tax Support Specialist

Owning a portfolio of tax agencies, the full-time remote Tax Support Specialist will manage end-to-end tax workflows, including notice resolution and compliance, while communicating directly with partners to provide clear updates on their tax accounts. Key responsibilities Manage a defined set of federal, state, and local tax agencies, ensuring timely resolution of notices and ongoing compliance Serve as the primary point of contact with tax agencies, navigating processes and following through on issues until fully resolved Balance and reconcile tax accounts, identifying discrepancies and driving resolutions while managing a queue of tax issues Required qualifications 3-5 years of experience in payroll tax, tax operations, compliance, or notice resolution Proven ability to communicate effectively with tax agencies and partners, both verbally and in writing Experience with federal, state, and local tax agencies, with the ability to research unfamiliar ones Strong organizational skills to manage multiple open issues across various agencies A curious mindset for solving complex tax-related challenges
