Customer Experience Specialist

Job Type: Part-Time (Afternoons, Evenings, Select Saturday Mornings) Chesapeake Dance Center is seeking an experienced, service-driven Customer Experience Specialist to help create exceptional experiences for our dance families. This is a key client-facing role , ideal for someone who thrives in a community-oriented environment and brings strong communication, sales, and customer service skills to the table. Who We Are We are a long-established, non-competitive dance studio offering Creative Dance, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, and Hip Hop to students ages 3 through adult. We also have a small performance company.We pride ourselves on providing high-quality instruction in a supportive, family-like atmosphere. Who You Are You are a confident and professional communicator with proven experience in customer service, sales, or client support. You understand the importance of first impressions, follow-through, and building long-term relationships with families. You are upbeat, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and love working with kids and families. Key Responsibilities Manage and respond promptly to all new client inquiries (phone, email, walk-ins, online). Guide prospective families through our trial and enrollment process. Deliver an exceptional customer experience to current families, solving problems quickly and professionally. Collaborate with the studio director and instructors to improve communication and client satisfaction. Monitor and maintain customer records and communications using studio software. Assist with community events, performances, and recitals. Create and schedule engaging social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). This is a plus. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or front-facing administrative roles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable using technology and learning new software (Google Suite, CRMs, social media platforms). Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic knowledge of dance styles and class structure is highly preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to the success of the studio. Must have reliable transportation. Schedule & Compensation Weekdays: 3:30 PM – approx. 8:00–9:00 PM At least two Saturday mornings per month (Sept–June) Compensation based on experience and skillset.
