Retail Finance Director

Retail finance leaders apply their strategic planning and budget-management expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and improve how AI understands retail finance workflows.

Role Overview

This flexible, hourly contract engagement supports AI research through expert feedback on the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated responses. No previous AI experience is required, and the work can be completed alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Use hands-on retail finance experience and familiar professional tools to create expert-level training data.
• Evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy and relevance.
• Provide feedback that strengthens AI understanding of retail finance workflows and strategic planning practices.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in senior retail finance leadership, such as Finance Director, VP of Finance, CFO, or an equivalent retail-industry role.
• Hands-on experience with long-range financial planning and budget variance analysis.
• Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams.

Work Terms

• Remote, part-time, project-based hourly contract work.
• Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement.
• Contributors typically work approximately 5-20 hours per week while assigned to an active project.
• Project placement depends on current needs; qualified applicants may be considered for future projects as they become available.

Compensation

Up to $80/hr (depending on the project)

Eligibility

• F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires a CPT course, this work may not satisfy that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported.
