Position Overview Information Technology Associate (JC‑521438) – Salary: $4,935 to $8,740 per month. Permanent, full‑time. In Office. Department: California Highway Patrol – Enforcement Vehicle & Technology Section (047) Location: 601 North 7th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811 Final Filing Date: 6/22/2026 Responsibilities Install, maintain, and troubleshoot applications, vehicle modems, radars, and on‑board computer equipment for the Enforcement & Vehicle Technology Section. Train personnel on operation of equipment for the Consolidated Patrol Vehicle Environment (CPVE) and Enforcement Vehicle 2020 (EV20) systems. Provide technical support and maintenance in both office and field environments, including vehicle production and maintenance settings. Ensure safety compliance and perform occasional statewide travel as required. Collaborate with the IT Supervisor I and technical teams to develop and implement technology strategies. Minimum Qualifications Background investigation clearance required prior to appointment. Proof of education, transcripts, and relevant experience may be required for verification of qualifications. Desirable Qualifications Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to read schematics. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Capability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
