Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group, following established standards and the nursing process
• Collect pertinent data, analyze findings, and identify care needs and outcomes
• Develop, implement, and adjust a patient care plan; coordinate delivery with other disciplines
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across multiple levels; delegate tasks appropriately
• Facilitate discharge planning and patient/family education; ensure a safe, healing environment

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• CPI or TEAM/TEAM-A or equivalent aggression management training required
• Minimum of two years of recent ER experience in acute care
• BSN preferred; ADN considered with relevant ER experience
• EPIC and Cerner experience required for this assignment
