Position Overview RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician to serve as Chair in the Emergency Medicine Department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Key Responsibilities Practice within the Emergency Medicine Department and oversee all clinical activities. Provide leadership and support for all academic actions, including resident education, clinical research, and fellowship programs. Create policies that drive improvements in quality and safety. Supervise, mentor, and cover residents and fellows. Participate in departmental and system-wide quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Board certification in Emergency Medicine. At least five (5) years of academic leadership experience. Experience driving improvements in quality and safety. Prior experience in resident education and clinical research. License or eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey. Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong clinical background.
