However, travel will occur within the Twin Cities metro area, including to Bridging’s locations in Roseville and Plymouth. Since 1987, Bridging has served more than 110,000 households and currently operates out of three locations - Bloomington, Roseville, and Plymouth. Driven by over 5,000 volunteers and donations from the community, we provide the basic home essentials to more than 5,3 homes every year. On average, Bridging redistributes 1 7 semi-loads of donated furniture and household goods to an average of 1 2 0 households (300 people) each week. THE OPPORTUNITY The Bridging Warehouse Manager plays a foundational role in how Bridging carries out its mission- turning donated furniture and household goods into dignified, welcoming homes for people pursuing housing stability. This position sits at the center of client experience and directly shapes how Bridging’s values come to life each day. As the operational leader of the Bloomington warehouse, the Warehouse Manager ensures that people, processes, inventory, and logistics work together to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality service. Through hands-on leadership of staff and volunteers, this role upholds standards for safety, respect, and care—ensuring clients experience Bridging as reliable, compassionate, and mission driven. This role is ideal for a leader who understands that warehouse operations are more than logistics—they are a powerful vehicle for impact. Primary Duties Warehouse Operations, Inventory and Systems Leadership Prioritize workflows, delegate responsibilities, and allocate resources to meet service and operational goals. Oversee daily staffing plans and truck routes to ensure efficient operations and a dequate coverage for warehouse operations, client appointments, donation pickups, deliveries, and volunteer activities. Oversee inventory integrity from intake through distribution, ensuring quality control, organization, and flow of goods. Establish and enforce donation quality, acceptance, storage, and disposal standards to ensure inventory is safe, appropriate, and aligned with client needs. Monitor warehouse capacity and inventory levels and work cross-functionally to address shortages, excess inventory, bottlenecks, and changing client demand. Establish, document, communicate, and consistently enforce warehouse policies, standard operating procedures, service standards, and performance expectations. Ensure accurate and timely entry of inventory, delivery, pickup, client-service, and other operational data into applicable systems. Utilize data, metrics, and KPI’s to manage performance, identify gaps, and drive operational improvements. People and Culture Leadership Foster an inclusive, respectful culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, cultural humility, safety, and continuous improvement. Lead, coach, and develop a high performing warehouse team, including hiring, onboarding, supervision, and performance management of staff. Lead regular warehouse meetings and daily huddles to communicate priorities, safety information, performance expectations, organizational updates, and operational changes. Maintain appropriate staffing levels, participate in workforce planning, and proactively communicate hiring, retention, performance, and employee‑development needs. Address employee concerns, workplace conflict, attendance, conduct, and performance issues promptly and in partnership with Human Resources. Build strong working relationships with volunteers and ensure they are welcomed, supported, appropriately assigned, and meaningfully integrated into warehouse operations. Safety and Facilities Management Oversee warehouse safety including training, inspections, incident reporting and investigation, corrective action, emergency preparedness, and compliance with OSHA, DOT, workers’ compensation, and organizational requirements. Ensure accidents, injuries, vehicle incidents, equipment concerns, and unsafe conditions are reported promptly, documented accurately, investigated, and appropriately addressed. Partner with facilities and warehouse leadership to maintain building, equipment, and vehicle fleet readiness. Maintain required safety, vehicle, equipment, training, and regulatory records. Financial and Resource Stewardship Manage warehouse expenses within the approved budget and ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources, equipment, vehicles, supplies, and donated goods. Monitor operational costs, identify financial or resource needs, and recommend investments or process changes that improve safety, efficiency, and service delivery. Review and approve warehouse-related purchases, invoices, employee time records, and other operational expenses in accordance with organizational policies. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Relationship Management Partner with leaders across departments and locations to align operational standards and service delivery. Represent warehouse operations, performance metrics, and needs in organizational planning and decision-making. Respond to and resolve concerns involving clients, donors, volunteers, employees, deliveries, and donation pickups in a timely, respectful, and solution-focused manner. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Passion for the mission of Bridging and its important work Minimum five years of warehouse experience, including at least two years directly supervising, coaching, and developing employees. Experience with logistics, inventory management, warehouse workflows, and OSHA safety practices. Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and lead in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to cultural humility and strong customer service orientation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Comfort learning and using operational software systems. Ability to lift 70 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs., and work onsite with occasional evenings/weekends. Ability to safely operate 26-foot trucks; forklift and DOT certifications or ability to obtain. Valid driver’s license, insurance, reliable transportation, and ability to pass required screenings. Reliable internet access outside the warehouse.
