Jr. Sous Chef

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen area throughout shift. Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station. Break down and clean station thoroughly every day. Ensure proper rotation of all products to par. Label, day dot, and sign all products. Obtain Chef/Manager signature on all products. Must be dressed and well-groomed in Company approved uniform at all times. Adherence to Company and Safety Policies and Procedures. Ensure good turnover of products by practicing proper rotation and maintaining. Monitor staff performance, product quality and production flow. Foster improvements where needed. Hire, train and supervise staff. Participate in activities of cooks and other team members involved in preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with Cliftons productivity standards. Direct staff in proper job functions and proper guest interaction. Audit food storeroom items for quality and consistency. Enforce daily sanitation, hand washing and safety codes. Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience Openness and willingness to learn new techniques Clean work habits with great attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast paced and demanding environment while maintaining calmness, composure and a sense of humor.
