Electric Motor Test Technician New Hudson MI 20hr

Shift: 1st (M-Th 6:30am - 5pm) Pay : $20-21/hr The Electric Motor Test Technician will join an established team and support the assembly and testing of the ION Electric Outboard Motor. This position may assist other colleagues who produce and test our Marine internal combustion engines. Essential Job Functions (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): Must be able to follow instructions carefully, including quality procedures, which may require some basic reading skills and the ability to follow diagrams and pictures Must be adept at using machines, air tools, hoists and special processes Perform the same task repeatedly with focus Assemble engine and electrical parts with bolts, clips, screws, solder, cement, or other fasteners by hand or by using portable power tools Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Must be able to conduct assembly in the pre-paint and post-paint sections of the assembly line, as well as staging for pre-assembly, painting, post-paint and shipping. Inspecting fully assembled and/or partially assembled motors, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects Install motors into test tank(s), and measure and monitor motor performance, ensuring perfect quality of all motors Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Associate's Degree in Electrical, Automotive or similar preferred 2+ years of hands-on experience working in a mechanical or electrical production or assembly environment Ability to organize and plan multiple tasks effectively Compensation & Benefits $20+ hour based on experience Day-1 coverage for Medical, Dental and Vision benefits 401K, Roth 401K and Safe Harbor Contribution Paid Time Off Paid Company Holidays 4-10s Schedule (M-Th 6:30am - 5pm) Physical Requirements/Work Environment: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock, and explosives.
