Field Reimbursement Specialist

Cencora seeks a Field Reimbursement Specialist to serve as an expert on pharmacy coverage and access issues. The role involves educating healthcare providers on insurance processes, resolving reimbursement barriers, and traveling weekly across Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois to support patient access to specialty medications.
Responsibilities
- Educate healthcare provider staff on insurance coverage, formulary policies, coding, and prior authorization processes
- Resolve patient access barriers by collaborating with providers, manufacturers, pharmacies, and payers
- Conduct field-based consultations and interactive educational presentations at provider office sites
- Investigate and identify root causes of reimbursement and access issues within provider offices
- Communicate relevant coverage policy changes and payer updates to assigned territories
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED minimum; bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience resolving pharmacy benefit access issues in healthcare settings
- Knowledge of prior authorizations, appeals, formulary, and specialty pharmacy dynamics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned territory; live near major airport
- Willingness to obtain Prior Authorization Certified Specialist (PACS) certification within six months
Compensation: $94,500 - $148,060 base
