Chief Information Officer (CIO) Remote, USA About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our technology, information systems, IT operations, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives.

The CIO will develop and execute the company's technology and information strategy, ensuring that technology investments directly support business growth, operational efficiency, security, and long-term scalability. This executive will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to establish a modern, secure, and high-performing technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company-wide IT and technology strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Lead IT operations, enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and technology services.

• Drive digital transformation and modernization of business systems and processes.

• Establish and maintain enterprise technology architecture, standards, and governance.

• Oversee cybersecurity, data protection, identity and access management, risk management, and compliance.

• Develop and maintain business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT incident-response strategies.

• Lead cloud adoption, infrastructure optimization, and technology scalability initiatives.

• Evaluate and implement enterprise software, SaaS platforms, AI solutions, and emerging technologies.

• Establish technology policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.

• Partner with Finance, Operations, HR, Product, Engineering, and other business functions to identify technology opportunities.

• Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, and strategic partnerships.

• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing IT and technology teams.

• Establish KPIs and executive reporting for technology performance, security, reliability, and ROI.

• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency through technology.

• Ensure technology systems meet applicable regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements.

• Communicate technology strategy, risks, investments, and priorities to the CEO and executive leadership team.

• Develop a long-term technology roadmap that supports company growth and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, technology, information systems, or enterprise technology leadership.

• 5+ years in a senior technology leadership role such as CIO, CTO, VP of IT, or equivalent.

• Proven experience developing and executing enterprise technology strategies.

• Strong understanding of cloud computing, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, applications, and IT operations.

• Experience managing technology budgets, vendors, strategic initiatives, and distributed teams.

• Demonstrated success leading digital transformation and technology modernization programs.

• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management, governance, security, and compliance.

• Excellent executive communication, strategic planning, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear business strategies and outcomes.

• Experience operating effectively in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SaaS, technology, AI, fintech, healthcare, or other technology-driven organizations.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture, DevOps, automation, data platforms, and AI/ML technologies.

• Experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise security programs.

• Experience leading technology organizations through rapid growth or organizational transformation.

• MBA, MS, or equivalent advanced degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field is preferred.
