LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a dynamic legal team at a well-established firm in Downtown San Diego. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in complex litigation defense, and who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-level administrative support to attorneys handling complex litigation defense matters.
- Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain case files, records, and legal documentation.
- Track and manage litigation deadlines, including pre-trial schedules and court appearances.
- Coordinate meetings, depositions, and hearings.
- Handle court filings across federal, state, and appellate courts, including e-filing and physical submissions.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as a litigation legal assistant in complex litigation defense.
- In-depth knowledge of filing procedures and rules for federal, state, and appellate courts.
- Proficiency in e-filing systems and calendaring litigation timelines.
- Familiarity with judicial forms and legal formatting requirements.
- Skilled in preparing tables of contents and tables of authorities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a legal team.
