Payroll Specialist POST NUMBER: 482127

Vaco Arizona is partnering with a top company in Phoenix to hire a Payroll Specialist. This is a direct-hire, onsite opportunity offering up to $30/hour. The ideal candidate will have experience processing high-volume, full-cycle payroll and Excel skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume, full-cycle payroll while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely employee payments.
• Review and validate employee time records, resolve discrepancies, and prepare payroll for processing.
• Process off-cycle payroll transactions, including final paychecks, retroactive pay, corrections, and one-time payments.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, tax forms, personnel changes, and wage updates.
• Prepare certified payroll reports and assist with payroll tax payments, garnishments, ACH returns, and account reconciliations.
• Review and process employee expense reimbursements and payroll adjustments.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.
• Generate payroll reports, support ad hoc requests, and identify opportunities to improve payroll processes.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
