Director Of Human Resources

Pratt & Whitney invites applications for an Associate Director, Human Resources Employee Partner Leader. The position is located in East Hartford, CT and is a hybrid role with both onsite and remote work. Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR partners, building a strong performance culture, elevating employee engagement, and resolving complex employee matters. Coach and develop leaders to build innovative, high‑performing teams aligned with the RTX People Strategy. Lead implementation of employee relations, leadership development, and communication strategies that advance organizational objectives. Resolve complex organizational problems that matter most to employees, leaders and the HR function. Develop and mentor a team of HR Partners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, belonging and functional excellence. Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders, serving as an advocate and coach. Partner with leadership to implement HR programs that support business goals and produce results in a matrix environment. Monitor and proactively address engagement risks and drive the employee engagement strategy using survey data and tools. Partner on workforce planning activities and support recruiting and retention strategies. Conduct internal investigations with professionalism, discretion, and integrity, recommending appropriate action plans. Drive human resource compliance, ensuring standardization and consistency of HR policies and practices. Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental regulations, EH&S policies, and other regulatory requirements. Lead and support special projects as assigned. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in a Human Resources role; or an advanced degree and 10+ years of experience in a Human Resources role. Qualifications We Prefer Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Experience managing multiple, often conflicting priorities while maintaining positive relationships with customers. Professional people‑leadership experience. Professional maturity and integrity in handling confidential information. Solid background and experience in employee relations. Manufacturing experience preferred. Commitment to a positive workplace culture and ethical decision making. Ability to influence without direct supervisory responsibilities. Fluency in Workday and Excel. Salary: $157,200 – $298,800 USD, based on experience.
