Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use challenges, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders. This might involve comprehensive interviews, standardized assessments, and observational techniques.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that draw from evidence-based practices, incorporating strategies that specifically target both mental health issues and substance use challenges.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions that focus on skill development in areas such as emotional regulation, resilience building, and relapse prevention, employing therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Engage in regular coordination with a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to each client’s care and recovery.

• Implement ongoing substance use monitoring, using motivational interviewing techniques to inspire clients during their recovery journeys and reinforcing positive behavior changes.

• Educate clients and their families about the connection between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of maintaining treatment compliance and the benefits of an integrated approach.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is essential.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for co-occurring disorders, with training in Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
