Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, providing you the flexibility to work from home while engaging in a collaborative and supportive environment. Although the role is primarily remote, you will maintain regular communication with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and nursing staff, contributing to a holistic treatment model. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours required based on client appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health and substance use concerns, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, employing a variety of evidence-based interventions to address mental health and substance use issues.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Foster a coordinated approach to care alongside our multidisciplinary team by communicating effectively and participating in integrated treatment strategies.

• Administer regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients to stay engaged in their recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation in line with ethical and legal standards, tracking treatment progress, interventions, and referrals.

• Engage in regular case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities to further develop expertise in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Cure Tablet, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders, which encompass a wide range of mental health issues alongside substance use challenges. Your role is vital in guiding these clients through tailored therapeutic interventions, ensuring they access the full spectrum of care necessary for sustainable recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies focused on co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong foundational knowledge of the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of clinical experience in providing therapy and counseling services, particularly within outpatient settings.

• A background in working with diverse populations and addressing the unique cultural considerations involved in mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
