Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to understand the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms, engaging in active listening and empathy.

• Collaborate with clients to create and implement personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and preferences, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Utilize approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective interventions tailored to the specific needs of those dealing with mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment methodologies, and strategies for managing symptoms in daily life.

• Continuously monitor client progress, maintaining detailed and confidential documentation of sessions, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed about the latest research and treatment modalities to enhance your practice.

• Advocate for client needs and promote de-stigmatization of mental health challenges within the community.

• Participate in collaborative team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and contribute to a supportive clinical environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients through their mental health journeys, fostering resilience, and promoting recovery within a safe and nurturing environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Strong communication skills demonstrating the ability to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is highly preferred. Familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities specifically targeting mood disorders such as CBT and DBT is essential. Experience collaborating with psychiatrists and other medical professionals is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
