You will work as an associate in the Labor & Employment Group full-time in this role. You'll have a lot of direct client interaction, frequently serving as the customer's initial point of contact with the team.

- SALARY: $365,000 - $390,000 per annum
- WORK TYPE: Permanent
- WORK PATTERN: Full Time
- LOCATION: New York
You will work as an associate in the Labor & Employment Group full-time in this role. You'll have a lot of direct client interaction, frequently serving as the customer's initial point of contact with the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Based on expertise, offer increasingly sophisticated employment law guidance and counsel.
- Oversee single-plaintiff cases and contribute significantly to the management of complex litigation, such as class actions.
- Make suggestions and work together with partners on case strategy and methods.
- Writing in brief but substantial
- Conduct witness interviews and create factual presentations for cases that are being litigated.
- Draft requests for discovery and answers to those requests
- Take depositions and defend them.
- Significant trial work, when needed
- Maintain workload and caseload proactively; plan ahead and put follow-up measures into place.
- Organize client projects and legal filings by keeping track of case dockets, dates, and deadlines.
- Help with unique projects and collaborate with others as a team.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- Licensed to practice in New York.
- 5 - 6 years PQE
- Outstanding communication abilities both in writing and speaking. incredibly proactive and responsive.
- The capacity to collaborate with others and effectively communicate with staff members at all levels.
- A dedication to personal practice improvement and diversity.
- The capacity to think creatively and approach tasks and projects from a continuous-improvement standpoint.
