Clinical Pharmacist

Maimonides Health, Brooklyn's largest healthcare system, is seeking a full-time clinical pharmacist. The position is permanent with a transfer rate based on years of experience. The pay range is $83.89 up to $91.28.

Responsibilities include:

• Weekends rotate
• Monday-Friday
• 8:00AM-4:00PM
• 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications include:

• Graduation from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency (required)
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Residency in specialty area (preferred); clinical pharmacy experience (at least 2-4 years) in a hospital setting and in relevant area of practice (required if no PGY-2 residency)
• Board Certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in primary area of practice (e.g., Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), Emergency Medicine (BCEMP), Pediatric Pharmacy (BCPPS)) upon hire or within 12 months of hire (required)
• Meet ASHP residency preceptor requirements (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification upon hire or within 3 months of hire (required); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable based on area of practice
• New York State Pharmacist Licensure and Registration (required)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates initiative and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including preparing PowerPoint presentations.
• Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position; knowledge of a second language preferred.
