Elegant Lifestyle Assistant / Professional Experienced Housekeeper

Schedule: Monday-Sunday with Flexibility, two days off per week. Two weeks paid vacation. Paid Holidays Rotating Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Salary 145-150k Plus Healthcare stipend

Location: Roseland, New Jersey

A gentle, kind, and respectful older couple relocating to a brand new private residence in Roseland, New Jersey is seeking an experienced, emotionally intelligent, and highly detail oriented Elegant Lifestyle Assistant / Professional Experienced Housekeeper to help oversee the daily rhythm and presentation of their home.

This is not a traditional housekeeping role.

At its core, this position is about becoming a trusted and stabilizing presence within a beautifully maintained home where professionalism, discretion, organization, comfort, and quality of life truly matter.

The family is seeking someone who naturally brings steadiness, quiet confidence, warmth, and thoughtful support into the household.

This is a gentle couple with impeccably high standards. The right person must possess excellent spoken and written English communication skills and be comfortable communicating clearly through conversation, text, and email.

The position combines exceptional housekeeping, fine laundry and linen care, ironing, light cooking and wellness support, hospitality minded service, household organization, and occasional driving assistance for appointments and errands, including periodic trips into New York City.

The ideal person understands how to anticipate needs without becoming intrusive and takes genuine pride in maintaining a highly organized and beautifully run home.

About the Home

The family is relocating into a brand new approximately 5,000 square foot two floor residence designed for long term comfort and living. The household values health conscious living, organic food, natural wellness practices, calm communication, privacy, and mutual respect.

Primary Responsibilities

·      Maintain the home to an impeccable standard of cleanliness, organization, and presentation

·      Detailed housekeeping throughout the residence

·      Expert level laundry care including fine linens, ironing, steaming, wardrobe organization, and delicate fabric care

·      Proper care of organic bedding, specialty fabrics, and high end finishes

·      Experience working with organic and natural cleaning products required

·      Evening kitchen and household reset to ensure the home is fully organized before the end of each workday

·      Light cooking and meal support including reheating meals, basic meal preparation, fresh juices, food organization, portioning prepared meals, and wellness related kitchen support. There is no microwave in this home.

·      Grocery shopping and organization, kitchen inventory, and maintaining freshness of food products. Highly aware of food rotation.

·      Coordinate dry cleaning pickup and delivery when necessary

·      Household errands and occasional shopping

·      Occasional driving for appointments, errands, and periodic trips into Manhattan

·      Open and professional communication with both principals and family members

·      Assist in helping the household run smoothly, calmly, and efficiently on a daily basis

The Ideal Candidate

·      Experienced professional housekeeping background within private homes required

·      Strong fine laundry, linen care, and ironing skills required

·      Warm, gentle, calm, quiet by nature, and emotionally intelligent personality

·      Hospitality minded with a natural service orientation

·      Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy and boundaries

·      Excellent spoken and written English communication skills required

·      Organized, proactive, and detail oriented

·      Comfortable supporting older principals with warmth and professionalism

·      Comfortable with household technology and texting/email communication

·      Stable background with strong references

·      Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

·      Comfortable driving locally and periodically into New York City

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation anticipated in the $145,000 to $150,000 range, plus discretionary year end bonus, paid time off, holidays, and additional benefits, depending on experience and overall fit.

First year benefits anticipated to include:
