Medical Lab Technologist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technologist for Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon, working variable days with primary evening hours (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) and weekend availability. The role involves performing laboratory procedures across multiple departments, operating instrumentation, and ensuring accurate test results.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability and process specimens according to criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures across laboratory departments
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Execute preventive maintenance, quality control, and reagent evaluation procedures
- Document results accurately and timely to support patient care delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- One or more years of clinical laboratory testing experience in Blood Bank (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
