Job Description Executive Director Location: Zephyrhills, FL Pay Rate: Base $70,000 - $75,000 Work hours: Flexible, develop own schedule some weekends Principal Functions The Executive Director has the responsibility for ensuring the effective operation of the organization, including overseeing administration, programs, budgeting, staffing, and the strategic plan. The Executive Director's primary duties include managing and overseeing daily operations, fundraising, marketing, media relations, and community outreach. REPORTS TO Board of Directors SUPERVISES Client Services Director (CSD), Executive Assistant, and other paid staff and volunteers when the Client Services Director is not present. STATUS Full-Time Salaried Position Qualifications Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is passionately committed to the mission and vision of the organization. Exhibits a strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life. Agrees with and is willing to uphold the organization's Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and policies and procedures. Must be in consistent fellowship with a local church. Bachelor's or Master's degree desired, preferably in a helping profession or related field, or equivalent experience. One year of volunteer experience in a ministry setting. Two years of management experience in a helping profession or equivalent leadership experience. Medical background and bilingual skills are beneficial but not required. Demonstrated skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing, problem solving, and media relations. Ability to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and support to staff and volunteers. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and organizational goals. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient with computers and standard business software. Major Responsibilities Administration Make prayer an integral part of the day-to-day operation. Develop and revise operational policies and procedures in collaboration with the Board of Directors. Provide leadership, guidance, and managerial support to the Client Services Director, Executive Assistant, and other staff. Coordinate with staff, the Client Services Director, and the Treasurer to prepare the annual budget for Board approval. Ensure accurate financial records are maintained and reported to the Board monthly. Oversee expenditures and budgeted expenses, including purchase order requests. Oversee statistical reporting, record keeping, and quarterly reporting to the Board in partnership with the Client Services Director. Coordinate the annual ministry calendar and oversee implementation of special events. Ensure organizational policies are followed and coordinate the development and implementation of new policies. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss client needs, operational updates, and staff development. Attend all Board meetings and present quarterly reports. Oversee donor management systems in partnership with the Executive Assistant. Development Plan, coordinate, and lead major fundraising events, direct mail campaigns, and newsletters. Develop and implement a program to engage churches and mission boards for financial support. Maintain regular communication with donors. Increase community visibility and evaluate opportunities for organizational growth. Gather feedback and assess ministry goals to strengthen programs and services. Develop short-term and long-term objectives to accomplish organizational goals. Prepare and present an annual development plan to the Board. Collaborate with staff to identify and pursue grant opportunities and other funding sources. Public Relations Educate churches, pastors, community groups, healthcare professionals, and the public about the organization's mission and services. Build and maintain relationships with pastors and local churches. Develop relationships with community organizations that serve client needs. Represent the organization and its services within the community and through media opportunities. Develop, oversee, and update promotional and marketing materials. Work closely with the Board to increase public awareness through advertising and church presentations. Maintain relationships with referral partners, including agencies, physicians, churches, and community organizations. Represent the organization through correspondence, meetings, and speaking engagements. Plan, organize, and direct fundraising events and campaigns. Be available to speak at community events regarding the organization's mission. Participate in appropriate community committees and organizations, such as Healthy Start, the Chamber of Commerce, Ministerial Associations, and similar groups. Supervision and Evaluation Evaluate staff performance while applying biblical principles in coaching and addressing concerns. Conduct annual written and verbal performance evaluations, as well as 90-day reviews for new hires. Delegate responsibilities and provide opportunities for increased leadership among staff and volunteers. Mentor staff and volunteers to support spiritual growth and professional development. Encourage and motivate staff and volunteers to foster a positive, successful ministry environment. Benefits PTO: Employees working 20+ hours/week receive 5 PTO days annually after 90 days of employment. PTO must be used within the calendar year and does not carry over or pay out. Holidays: The organization observes 10 paid holidays. Full-time employees receive full holiday pay; eligible part-time employees receive prorated holiday pay. Vacation: Full-time employees receive paid vacation after 6 months, based on tenure (10–25 days annually).
