ASC Patient Access Specialist

This position is responsible for scheduling and registering Graham Medical Group Center for Ambulatory Care (ASC) surgical patients and updating and reviewing medical records to help facilitate the timely and quality delivery of healthcare services. This role ensures the efficient and accurate collection of patient demographic and insurance information. This individual is responsible for scanning paper documents and attaching electronic documents to the correct patient record in a timely manner ensuring medical record completeness.
High School Diploma or GED Required
Associate degree preferred with a focus in healthcare/business management/accounting
Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare billing, collection, payment processing, or denials management preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Displays professionalism and commitment to the role
