Job Type: Full-Time | Evaluation Hire
Pay: Starting at $28.85 (after the evaluation period, this becomes salary + commission)

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a motivated Outside Sales Representative for a growing construction supply company serving contractors throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. This field sales role is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and working in the field rather than behind a desk.

As an Outside Sales Representative, you'll manage an established territory while developing new accounts across Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News, and Hampton. If you thrive on meeting customers, solving problems, and creating long-term partnerships, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Develop and grow business within an assigned sales territory
• Prospect new construction sites and commercial contractors
• Visit project managers, purchasing agents, and decision-makers
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
• Generate quotes and coordinate orders with the internal team
• Follow up on leads and re-engage previous customers
• Track customer activity and maintain organized sales records
• Represent the company professionally at customer offices and job sites

What We're Looking For

• Previous outside sales, territory sales, business development, or account management experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Comfortable with cold calling and prospecting
• Organized with excellent follow-up skills
• Professional, dependable, and customer-focused
• Experience in construction, industrial supply, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to travel throughout the Hampton Roads area
• Must be able to pass a 10-year background check required for Navy installation access
• Comfortable working both in an office setting and on active construction job sites

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Primarily daytime hours with early morning customer visits
• Minimal weekend work
