Qualifications:

• Valid LBS1 Illinois teaching certification
• Experience in special education settings or student teaching in self-contained classrooms
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
• Genuine enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners and individualized education plans
• Adaptability and problem-solving abilities in dynamic educational settings

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students in self-contained LBS1 classrooms
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in coordination with related service providers and family members
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom culture that promotes academic and social-emotional growth
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to meet students’ unique needs
• Maintain clear, ongoing communication with families, support staff, and administrators
• Document student progress, manage classroom organization, and participate in IEP meetings
