Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid LBS1 endorsement (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Experience teaching in a self-contained classroom strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement IEPs
• Familiarity with state and federal special education regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction in a self-contained classroom for either elementary or middle school students
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to individual learning needs and IEP goals
• Manage classroom activities, behavior, and instructional aides as needed
• Regularly assess student progress and document growth with clear, timely reports
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Communicate frequently with families to foster partnerships for student success
