Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a meaningful role supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher, serving 8th graders in a dual-campus setting just a short drive apart. This fulfilling contract opportunity lets you make a direct impact by working half-days at two nearby middle schools, where you’ll provide co-taught and resource classes designed for small groups—typically just 8-10 students per session.

Your day will begin at 7:20 am and end by 2:50 pm most days, with extended hours on Wednesdays, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek and a dedicated daily lunch break. This role is ideal for educators skilled in fostering independence in students, creating individualized learning plans, and delivering targeted instructional support in both co-teaching and resource environments.

What We’re Looking For:

• Licensed Special Education Teacher, preferably with LBSI (Learning Behavior Specialist I) certification
• Experience with middle school aged students, especially those receiving resource support
• Comfortable instructing in a variety of settings and adapting approaches based on learners’ needs
• Capable of working independently, while also collaborating effectively with general education staff
• Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for student needs
• Organized, flexible, and reliable in a multi-campus assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver special education instruction in resource and co-taught classes for 8th graders
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collecting data to measure progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social development
• Maintain clear and timely documentation

The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with the opportunity to attend an engaging new teacher orientation if you begin onboarding in early August.
