Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a lasting impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher with a self-inclusion classroom. This is a rewarding, full-time opportunity for the entire 26/27 school year (August 19th, 2026 – June 4th, 2027) at a single school site near Arlington Heights, IL. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of 10 students per class, providing direct support and advocating for each learner’s unique progress.

Key Qualifications:

• Current LBS-1 Certification for Special Education, required
• Experience working with students in self-inclusion or resource settings strongly preferred
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Effective classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Collaborative mindset for working alongside general education and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to support student IEP goals within a self-inclusion classroom environment
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs specific to each student’s needs
• Track and communicate student progress with guardians and team members
• Adapt lessons and integrate accommodations and modifications as needed
• Foster a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages social and academic growth
