Role Responsibilities
- Assess patients of all ages through standardized evaluations and detailed observational methods.
- Create customized therapy plans to meet both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions centering on language, fluency, articulation, voice, and swallowing improvements.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to establish comprehensive care approaches.
- Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Assist in occasional inpatient evaluations, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
- Maintain meticulous documentation that aligns with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Invest in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements within our field.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

- Expertise in evidence-based therapies applicable across a diverse age range, alongside a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech/language/swallowing disorders.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Ability to modify therapeutic techniques to respect and embrace varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgment paired with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort with managing electronic health records and meeting documentation standards.
