Role Responsibilities

• Assess patients of all ages through standardized evaluations and detailed observational methods.
• Create customized therapy plans to meet both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions centering on language, fluency, articulation, voice, and swallowing improvements.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to establish comprehensive care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist in occasional inpatient evaluations, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that aligns with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
• Invest in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements within our field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
