Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to contribute to external and internal reporting activities in a financial services operation. This hybrid position supports analysis, reporting preparation, and financial interpretation within a multi-unit environment. What You’ll Do In this role, you will evaluate operating results, collaborate with accounting and finance partners, assist with reporting cycles, and help maintain accurate financial data. The position also supports audit requests, control execution, and reporting process enhancements. Compile reporting packages and supporting schedules used in the evaluation of operating performance. Investigate fluctuations in revenue, expenses, and profitability while identifying key business drivers. Generate accounting documentation and financial analyses associated with assigned products and transactions. Contribute to quarterly reporting cycles through account review, reconciliation support, and variance commentary. Work across multiple departments to gather information needed for reporting accuracy and business insight. Maintain compliance with established reporting controls and internal procedures. Provide audit support by organizing documentation and responding to information requests. Participate in initiatives designed to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline. Minimum of two years of professional experience in accounting, audit, reporting, or analytical finance functions. Ability to evaluate financial information, draw conclusions, and communicate findings effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence presenting information to business stakeholders. Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities and solid proficiency across Microsoft Office applications. Public accounting experience is highly valued. CPA license or active pursuit of certification preferred. Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and reporting platforms is a plus. Rooted in Birmingham. Experts in Accounting. Focused on You.
