An exciting opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to make a significant impact supporting students in grades 6 through 12 with complex behavioral needs. This contract-based role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year—with the possibility of renewal or transitioning to a permanent position.

You will join a dynamic collaboration between schools and a partner district, focusing on students whose behavioral needs exceed typical district supports, but who may not require intensive clinical setting interventions. This environment is unique: situated in a retail-style facility, serving older, physically larger students demonstrating extreme behaviors—such as frequent elopement, severe self-injury, crisis situations, and challenging hygiene issues.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active BCBA certification (required; role not suitable for RBTs or those seeking unrestricted hours)
• Experience working with adolescents displaying highly challenging behaviors
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to train, guide, and support staff, including paras, RBTs, and aides
• Deep understanding of functional behavior assessment and intervention planning
• Comfort navigating unpredictable, crisis-level environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional analyses and develop crisis plans
• Support and coach approximately 10 paras/RBTs and additional aides
• Train teachers and staff to implement positive behavior strategies effectively
• Focus on behavioral and social-emotional support; academic needs are addressed by existing staff
• Ensure student programs are individualized across a continuum of services, never isolating students unnecessarily
