Work Environment

This position is situated within a hospital environment in Southampton, a picturesque coastal town known for its community-oriented atmosphere and vibrant healthcare landscape. The work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and examinations to diagnose and manage patients with various pain-related conditions, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques.
• Develop, implement and adjust individualized treatment plans based on the findings from patient evaluations, including prescribing medications, therapies, and other interventions.
• Work collaboratively with case management teams to coordinate comprehensive discharge planning and follow-up care for patients transitioning out of the hospital.
• Engage in direct consultations with patients and families, addressing questions and concerns while providing education on pain management strategies.
• Manage patient referrals, acting as a consulting provider for fellow physicians, particularly in cases requiring further evaluation or hospitalization.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and insurance requirements, proactively managing any appeals for claim denials.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include involvement in on-call rotations to ensure timely care delivery.

This role primarily focuses on patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• An active Physician Assistant license in New York is essential for practicing in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
