Salary: $70,000 - $89,000 per year A bit about us: Job Title: Construction Project Accountant Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: $75,000 – $89,000 / year Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Accountant to oversee financial operations across active construction and development projects. This role works directly alongside Project Managers and executive leadership to manage the full billing lifecycle, track job costs, execute change orders, and maintain strict compliance standards from project kickoff through final closeout. We are seeking a talented and experienced Permanent Project Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Accounting + Finance industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and success of our projects, providing financial analysis, reports, and recommendations. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Responsibilities: As a Permanent Project Accountant, you will: 1. Manage all project-related accounts, job costing, and financial projections. 2. Handle change orders and pay applications, ensuring all are recorded accurately and timely. 3. Work closely with subcontractors and general contractors, ensuring all financial transactions are clear, transparent, and fair. 4. Process AIA billing, lien waivers, and WIP, ensuring all are in compliance with industry standards and regulations. 5. Use the viewpoint to provide accurate and detailed financial reports. 6. Monitor and track T&M and the percentage of completion for all projects, providing regular updates to the project team and management. 7. Oversee the financial aspects of project contracts and agreements, ensuring all are in line with financial projections and budgets. 8. Collaborate with other team members, providing financial insights and recommendations to aid decision-making. 9. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, ensuring all financial practices are up-to-date and compliant. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a project accounting role, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry. 3. Strong knowledge and experience in job costing, viewpoint, change orders, subcontractors, general contractor, AIA billing, pay applications, lien waivers, WIP, T&M, and percentage of completion. 4. Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail. 5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels. 7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software. 8. A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 9.
