Senior Manager of Digital Product & Operations

Role Description

We’re looking for a consumer-focused, digitally savvy eCommerce Senior Manager of Digital Product & Operations to help shape the future of Cotopaxi.com. Reporting to the Director of eCommerce, you’ll lead the evolution of our digital experience using customer insights, data, technology, and emerging trends to identify opportunities, prioritize our roadmap, and bring new ideas to life. You’ll work across Engineering, UX/UI, Brand, Creative, Merchandising, and eCommerce to deliver thoughtful site enhancements, streamline operations, and create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic thinker, problem solver, and doer - someone who brings structure to complexity, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get things done. They’ll help Cotopaxi stay ahead of what’s next in eCommerce, from SEO and AI-powered search to onsite merchandising and emerging technologies, while keeping our purpose at the center of the work.

Job Responsibilities

• Digital Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Own and continuously evolve Cotopaxi.com’s digital product roadmap.
  • Lead cross-functional digital product initiatives from concept through launch and optimization.
  • Establish scalable processes and best practices for digital product development.
• Site Experience, Search & Growth
  • Lead day-to-day site operations and content management.
  • Partner cross-functionally to optimize the customer journey and overall site experience.
  • Own Cotopaxi.com’s organic visibility strategy.
  • Stay current on eCommerce and consumer technology trends.
• Analytics & Optimization
  • Own recurring eCommerce performance reporting.
  • Leverage customer behavior and site analytics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Establish measurable outcomes for digital initiatives.
• Technology, Vendors & Operations
  • Evaluate and optimize Cotopaxi’s eCommerce technology stack.
  • Manage external technology and vendor relationships.
  • Drive operational excellence through improved workflows and documentation.
• Planning & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Support the Director of eCommerce with planning and budgeting.
  • Lead matrixed, cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure digital initiatives align with broader brand and business objectives.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of eCommerce, digital product, or site operations experience.
• Strong eCommerce and digital product expertise.
• Proven project and process management skills.
• Experience with SEO and emerging AI-driven search.
• Technical fluency, including a working understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience managing technology vendors and external partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and influence.
• A self-directed, curious, and solutions-oriented approach.
