This remote position is set within a school environment, allowing for flexibility in your schedule to meet students’ needs, including the possibility of evening and weekend appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students’ emotional and behavioral concerns, identifying their unique treatment needs and objectives.

• Provide individual therapy sessions using various evidence-based modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused approaches.

• Collaborate with students, parents, and school staff to develop comprehensive treatment plans that align with academic and personal goals.

• Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to encourage growth and development.

• Maintain strict confidentiality in all client interactions and comply with ethical guidelines and legal standards pertaining to mental health care.

• Engage in professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to stay current with best practices in social work and educational psychology.

• Build and nurture therapeutic relationships that promote trust and openness, facilitating meaningful conversations that foster healing.

• Offer practical coping strategies and resources to support students in overcoming life challenges and achieving academic success.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral difficulties. You will play a critical role in guiding students through their personal challenges while simultaneously liaising with educators to create supportive learning environments.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.

• At least two years of direct experience in a clinical setting, ideally within a school-based or private practice environment.

• Proficient clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and therapeutic implementation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with clients.
