Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Great Valley Psychotherapy, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough assessments to determine clients' counseling needs and appropriate interventions.
\n
• Utilizing DSM criteria for substance abuse diagnosis to establish suitable treatment plans in alignment with ASAM guidelines.
\n
• Collaborating with the Clinical Director to develop individualized treatment plans, specifically focusing on the substance abuse counseling segment.
\n
• Creating and overseeing discharge and continuum of care plans that facilitate client transitions to the appropriate levels of care.
\n
• Documenting all aspects of client care in clinical records, including assessments, therapeutic interventions, and progress notes.
\n
• Maintaining an active client caseload and ensuring all necessary case management updates and treatment planning documentation is completed and accurate.
\n
• Coordinating support services for clients and their families, ensuring effective communication and integration of necessary resources.
\n
• Engaging with external referral sources, including legal entities, schools, and employers to provide a network of support.
\n
• Facilitating crisis interventions by employing a multi-disciplinary team approach to address urgent client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students in school settings who may be struggling with mental health issues and substance use disorders. You will offer individual and group therapy sessions, promoting an environment conducive to recovery. Your role will involve understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by these young clients, developing tailored interventions to support their emotional wellness and academic success.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• A current and active LCSW license in the state of New York.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing co-occurring counseling services, with a strong understanding of substance use and mental health treatment methodologies.

• Strong therapeutic skills, professionalism, and the ability to establish sound therapeutic boundaries.

• Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to continual professional development.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
