Title
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule
Nights, 4 x 12-hour shifts (1900-0700)
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday requirement: Available every other holiday, if needed

Assignment Details
Contract: 13 weeks

Requirements
- Licensure: Active New York Single-State RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS required on submittal)
- Required experience: 1 year
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Key clinical skills:
- IV therapy: blood products, central line care, starting/maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors
- Respiratory: CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management
- Neuro: stroke/CVA, neuro-trauma, TBI, spinal cord injury
- Cardiac: monitoring and dysrhythmia management/STEMI care
- Emergency procedures: triage, trauma

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an emergency department setting.
- Assess and manage patients in critical situations to ensure timely interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and document patient responses and treatment effectiveness in the electronic health record.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of emergency procedures.

Compliance / Notes
Orientation: 24 hours
Candidates with more than 10 days of RTO may not be submitted
Locals within 75 miles are not eligible for submission
