Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital Occupational Therapy services in a supportive elementary and secondary educational environment. Starting in February, this position is projected to continue through May, with the potential of an extended assignment should a permanent hire not be secured. You'll make a lasting impact by helping students develop the skills they need to thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT practice
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
- Strong communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Adaptability to work with a diverse student population across grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students referred for OT services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with educational teams
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in a variety of school settings
- Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely records
- Advise teachers and staff on classroom accommodations and strategies to support student success
- Foster positive relationships with students and families to encourage engagement and progress
