Job Title

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse – Nights

Location

Salem, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Orthopedic/Neuro Med/Surg unit serving scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fractures, and medical overflow
• Interpret and read telemetry strips as a core component of daily patient monitoring
• Perform neurological assessments and apply med/surg nursing skills across a diverse patient population
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 on night shift, adjusting as census requires
• Float to applicable units when requested by facility leadership

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN License required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience in a single location
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry strips
• Neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience with orthopedic and/or neurosurgical patient populations
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR charting system
