Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for individual and family therapy clients, assuring a deep understanding of their needs and backgrounds.

• Provide ongoing individual and family therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic approaches to fit the dynamics and requirements of each unique situation.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, focusing on themes such as communication skills and coping strategies, especially in relation to family and marital issues.

• Establish and nurture therapeutic relationships with clients, employing strong boundaries and a supportive demeanor to foster trust and openness.

• Document all therapy sessions and client progress meticulously to ensure accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with organizational policies.

• Participate actively in treatment team meetings, contributing insights and updates on client progress and collaborating on care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population, including families, couples, and individuals who are grappling with a range of mental health issues and relational challenges. Our clients come from various cultural backgrounds, and proficiency in addressing cross-cultural issues is essential. Therapists will utilize evidence-based interventions while being sensitive to the unique cultural contexts of their clients to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of a current and active LMFT license, fully in good standing without any restrictions.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting, preferably in a leadership capacity.

• Demonstrated strong communication skills, vital for establishing a calm and supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques and practices is highly desirable to enhance client engagement and therapeutic outcomes.
