Job Description
A chief estimator manages the process of estimating costs for construction projects. They create budgets and bids, and lead a team of estimators.
Chief Estimator
- Accountable for managing, motivating, and training the estimating team and must ensure that all estimates are submitted accurately, consistently, and timely for the Construction and Service Business Units.
- Preparing a portion of the construction and service estimates.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must HAVE estimating experience in the construction, environmental, or similar industry
- Must be detail-oriented while also having the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of excel
- Knowledge of Cost Estimating Software is preferred
- Ability to read plans and other project documents
