Accounting Manager

Our client, a well-established and growing privately held manufacturing company in Renton, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to lead key accounting functions, manage the full cycle accounting, and help drive process improvements in a stable manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring their accounting skills, along with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Lead the consolidation of multiple entities and ensure accurate intercompany accounting and eliminations.
• Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month-end journal entries.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.
• Perform cost accounting function and inventory.
• Assist with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Maintain and research accounting ERP issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function.
• Oversight of AP and AR staff members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Experience preparing consolidations preferred
• Experience leading month-end close and managing accounting processes.
• ERP experience required; Epicor experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.

Our client offers:

$125,000 to $135,000 base salary range dependent on experience, plus annual discretionary bonus target. Medical, vision, dental, life insurance, PTO, and holiday pay. Background check and drug screen required.
