Accounting Clerk

Darigold is seeking an Accounting Clerk to be a dynamic partner on the Finance Team at Darigold's Portland plant. This role supports daily accounting operations, inventory reconciliation, reporting, and receiving functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

• Receive purchase orders and accurately enter receipts for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and production records daily.
• Create and distribute reports to supervisors and managers.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Support receiving department operations for up to two hours per shift.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data entry.
• Assist with general office and accounting support tasks as needed.

What You Need:

• Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Able to proactively identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with strong follow-up and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally across all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of accounting or related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Oracle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• 10 key by touch.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Capable of working in the receiving department for up to two hours per shift.
• Ability to occasionally walk through a manufacturing environment.
