Job Overview A law firm seeks a mechanical engineering patent agent or technical advisor to join its patents team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of patent prosecution experience and a strong background in mechanical engineering. Duties Assist in patent prosecution and related tasks. Collaborate with attorneys and clients on patent matters. Conduct technical research and analysis. Prepare and draft patent applications. Requirements Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent. Two to five years of patent prosecution experience. Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) or qualified to register. Experience with automotive control systems, oil & gas tools, or medical devices. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Education Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Certifications USPTO registration or eligibility. Skills Technical research and analysis. Patent application drafting.
