Certifications: One or more of the following: Advanced Life Support - accepted by recognized organizations. BLS Provider - accepted by recognized organizations. Must-Have: Ability to provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period. Experience with pediatric patient care. Knowledge of aseptic sterile techniques according to relevant standards. Critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. Description: Provides direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period. Follows aseptic sterile technique according to relevant standards. Evaluates patient responses to treatments and interventions. Manages patient pain effectively. Anticipates case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedures performed and pathophysiology. Responsible for high-quality perioperative and procedural care for a diverse patient population. Supports both elective and emergency surgical interventions. Ensures safe transitions for surgical patients from admission through discharge. Participates in managing care with a flexible schedule to adapt to fluctuating surgical volumes. Call coverage includes weeknights and weekend support for emergency surgical needs. Must respond to calls within 30 minutes of notification. Focus on hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, pain and nausea control, and immediate post-operative complication prevention. Engages in rapid turnover in pre-operative preparation alongside specialized Phase I and Phase II recovery.
