Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting

Join our Finance team as an Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting . In this role, you’ll support the Global Controller in overseeing key financial accounting and reporting activities, including month-end consolidation, variance analysis, intercompany reconciliations, J-SOX compliance, internal and external audits, technical accounting research, and cyclical finance deliverables.

Working closely with Finance and cross-functional teams across our global organization, you’ll help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to our ultimate parent company in Japan. You’ll also respond to ad hoc departmental reporting requests and support various initiatives, with an initial emphasis on evaluating and improving existing processes.

As a key member of the Finance team, you’ll help strengthen internal controls, enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across our global financial operations. Success in this role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and collaborate across international teams.

Core responsibilities

Global Consolidation and Month-End Close

• Own the global month-end consolidation process for GAN’s B2B and B2C entities, including all related reporting.

• Review and approve consolidation-related journal entries, including statutory-to-U.S. GAAP adjustments, intercompany transactions, debt, and foreign exchange entries.

• Perform month-end analysis to identify and resolve errors, discrepancies, and unusual fluctuations.

• Coordinate intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations, invoicing, and consolidation eliminations.

• Oversee general accounting close activities, including account reconciliations, flux analysis, complex journal entries, and foreign exchange reviews.

• Partner with FP&A by providing general ledger data, financial insights, and ad hoc support.

• Oversee outsourced accounting providers and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of their deliverables.

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of month-end financial results.

Ultimate Parent Company Reporting and Support

• Prepare the consolidation reporting package for the ultimate parent company.

• Analyze and prepare required financial disclosures.

• Manage and coordinate internal and external audit requests from the ultimate parent company.

• Partner with the Global Controller and serve as a key point of contact for the ultimate parent company’s accounting team.

• Ensure all month-end close and reporting requirements are completed in accordance with Sega Sammy’s timelines and standards.

B2B Financial Reporting and Accounting

• Prepare B2B management accounts, audited financial statements, and reporting tie-out packages.

• Support global financial reporting for B2B entities.

• Work with internal and external B2B accounting teams to fulfill auditor requests and other compliance-related deliverables.

• Ensure ad hoc accounting and reporting requests from the business are addressed accurately and promptly.

• Research and evaluate new U.S. GAAP guidance, Accounting Standards Codification updates, and regulatory developments to determine their impact on the Company.

• Troubleshoot complex accounting and reporting issues and develop practical solutions.

• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of financial controls across B2B accounting processes.

Key Objectives

• Partner with the Global Controller to implement processes that improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and reduce the time required to complete the month-end close and financial reporting cycles.

• Ensure compliance with month-end close requirements and Sega Sammy reporting timelines.

• Ensure B2B accounting processes comply with the accounting policies, controls, and standards established by Sega Sammy.

Experience and key competencies

• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience; previous audit experience preferred.

• CPA designation preferred.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and a solid understanding of IFRS.

• Experience coordinating with accounting teams to meet financial reporting deadlines.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliverables across multiple global time zones.

• Knowledge of or experience with SOX, J-SOX, and internal control frameworks preferred.

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to quickly build and maintain effective professional relationships.

Travel Requirements:

This position may require up to 10% travel, including occasional international travel.

A valid passport is not required at the time of hire; however, the ability and willingness to obtain one if needed is preferred.

Compensation

Salary range: $130,000 - $145,000 annually; with final offer based on experience.

This is a Hybrid Light position. Employees primarily work remotely but are expected to come into the Las Vegas office occasionally, as needed for team meetings, collaboration, training, or other business needs. Candidates must be based in the Las Vegas area and be able to report to the office when requested.
