Machinist I (Experienced CNC Machinist / Machine Operator)

Up to $25.00/hour (DOE) | Full-Time | Overtime Available

This is NOT an entry-level machining position.

We're looking for an experienced Machinist who understands machining—not someone who simply loads a part and presses Start.

Our machine shop is small, fast-paced, and quality-driven. Every machinist plays a critical role in producing precision components while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. If you enjoy working with CNC equipment, reading prints, troubleshooting, and taking pride in producing quality parts, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual mills, and manual lathes

• Read blueprints, process instructions, and work orders

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications

• Make machine adjustments and identify quality issues before they become production problems

• Wash, dry, count, inspect, and package finished parts

• Complete production and quality documentation accurately

• Perform routine machine maintenance as assigned

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Meet production goals while maintaining exceptional quality standards

• Follow all company safety and operating procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of machining experience or equivalent vocational machine shop training (additional experience preferred)

• Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Experience using precision measuring instruments and performing quality inspections

• Basic computer skills

• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift

• Frequently bend, squat, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds

• Ability to work with small precision parts and use magnification when necessary

• Clean, climate-controlled (air-conditioned) machine shop

Schedule

Flexibility is required, as employees may be assigned to 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, or a combination of both based on production needs.

The current opening is expected to begin on an early 1st Shift schedule (approximately 5:00 AM start time) and includes:

• Two paid breaks

• 30-minute lunch

• Overtime as needed

Shift assignments may change based on business and production requirements.

Pay & Benefits

• Up to $25.00/hour, depending on experience
